Our School Priorities 2016-2018

The school priorities are set each year by the Headteacher with the Governing Body.

OUTCOMES FOR PUPILS

  • To raise pupils’ achievement in English and Mathematics ensuring that pupils are making more than expected progress.

  • To increase the attainment of our pupils in English and Mathematics.

  • Governors and leaders will ensure that there is strong challenge and creativity to support all groups to make progress in line with national expectations.

QUALITY OF TEACHING, LEARNING AND ASSESSMENT

  • To improve the quality of teaching in school so it has a positive impact on our pupils outcomes.

  • To develop reading for pleasure across school which impacts positively on the girls writing skills.

  • To further develop the depth and quality of teaching in English and Mathematics through Lesson Study, Coaching and Mentoring.

  • To further develop assessment for learning through the use of more effective questioning and active learning.

  • To develop accurate assessment procedures for pupils and embed new intervention programmes.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT, BEHAVIOUR AND WELFARE

  • To continue to support and develop our pupil’s learning within a safe and secure environment.

  • To develop our safeguarding practices to further enhance the e-safety curriculum.

EFFECTIVENESS OF LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT

  • To embed our new school values and ethos in all aspects of school life.

  • To develop a culture of personal professional learning within school and beyond.

  • To further develop the newly formed Senior Leadership Team.

  • To ensure that the Governing Body is highly effective and can demonstrate impact on standards.
